How it is used

One range, three very different working days

The hardware is the same; what changes is how the screens are laid out on the desk and what you keep open on them.

The Professional

How it is used

Keep the brief and the inbox in view at once. Hold the live document beside your mail, calendar and client notes so you can read across references without alt-tabbing. A dual-screen extender is usually enough for finance, legal and consulting work.

Reference material stays open beside the task you are working on.

The Creator

How it is used

Timeline on one screen, preview on another, tools and assets on the third. Editors and creators usually run a timeline, a preview window and a delivery or notes panel at the same time. A triple-screen layout gives each one its own display instead of window switching.

Three panels, three jobs — timeline, preview and notes.

The Remote Worker

How it is used

Hotdesking, travel rooms and compact home desks rarely have room for three monitors. An extender raises your laptop screen and stacks displays above it using the desk you already have.

Raise the laptop, add the screens above it, keep the desk clear.

Why a portable multi-screen setup

A larger desk, without buying a fixed one

A permanent multi-monitor desk needs a fixed desk, fixed power and fixed hardware. A portable extender works with the laptop you already own and moves with it.

01

More workspace for multi-tasking

Two documents, two applications, or a document and a call can stay visible together instead of replacing one another.

02

A workstation without a fixed desk

The screens connect to the laptop you already own, so the same setup moves between a home desk, a meeting room and a hotel room.

03

One footprint, fewer peripherals

A single full-featured USB-C port on the laptop can carry video, data and charging to the extender, leaving the rest of the desk free.

04

Adaptable to the task in front of you

Screens can be extended, mirrored or used as a secondary display, and many mounts rotate, so you can change the angle when the task changes.

Questions

The questions we are asked before every order

Answers here are taken from V2COM's own published guidance. Where a policy is not published, we point you to the team rather than guessing.

How does a portable monitor extender work?
A portable monitor extender is a screen with its own housing, power and video input. It connects to your laptop through a full-featured USB-C port that supports video (DisplayPort Alt Mode, usually marked with a Thunderbolt or DisplayPort symbol), or through a USB-C and HDMI combination. The laptop treats it as an ordinary external display, so you can extend, mirror or place it as a second screen.
Will it work with my MacBook?
Yes, including M1, M2 and M3 base-chip models. If you use an M1/M2/M3 MacBook and a second screen does not appear, choose a model that connects with a single cable, or ask the V2COM team about the signal converter cable. The V2COM team can confirm compatibility for your exact machine before you order.
What is a full-featured USB-C port?
A full-featured USB-C connector carries video output as well as data, and often charging. On a laptop you can usually identify it by the Thunderbolt (lightning bolt) or DisplayPort (the letter D) symbol next to the port. Charge-only USB-C ports will not drive an external display.
My laptop is managed by my employer. What are my options?
Start by excluding any model that requires software or driver installation. If your laptop has a full-featured USB-C port and HDMI, you can choose a directly connected model — it may use one or two more cables, but it needs no software, no latency and no CPU usage. If it only has HDMI and no full-featured USB-C, a single extra screen is the practical option, or your IT department can grant the software permissions required for multi-screen expansion.
My laptop does not have a full-featured USB-C port. What should I choose?
Choose a model that uses one cable to drive multiple screens, or ask the V2COM team about the H5 cable option. If your laptop has HDMI only, single-screen extenders are the simplest route.
Only one screen is displaying. What is happening?
If you use a MacBook with an M1, M2 or M3 base chip, a second display usually needs V2COM's signal converter cable. Otherwise check the cable seating, confirm the USB-C port supports video, and connect the laptop to power for stable output. The technical team can walk you through it on WhatsApp.
